About Us

Founded in 22025,  we have worked alongside autistic people to improve our understanding of how each person may see and process the world differently, how their autism affects them.

t is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

Working palongside autistic people, their families and carers providing tailored autism services.

About Autism A Chara

We're a dedicated charity that work alongside autistic people to improve our understanding of how each person may see and process the world differently, how their autism affects them.

Come and work with us

If you join our team, you will get to know the autistic people we work with as individuals, learn to listen, share their aspirations and work alongside them to achieve their goals. We are currently looking for more great people to join our teams. Join us and we will support you to achieve your career ambitions, providing lots of opportunities for training, development and progression.

Our goal is to consider life from the perspective of autustic people, to be inquisitive and always listening.

For Adults

We deliver a broad range of services that enhance quality of life. We believe in being aspirational for people we work with, supporting them to develop new skills, build connections and reach personal goals. Our teams are passionate about getting to know each individual and their loved ones, which allows us to plan tailored support and experiences, empowering autistic people and their families to grow in confidence and enjoy a greater quality of life.

For Young People

Acting early and gaining specialist support can help an autistic child communicate, play, and learn from the world now and for the future. Each autistic child will have a unique journey. By providing individualised support, which helps them to understand their differences and value their strengths, we help each child we work alongside to find their own path and achieve their ambitions. For us, this starts with education, whether that be at school or through flexible education and work experience in the community.

Fundraising

Join the fun. Fundraising enables us to go above and beyond when it comes to delivering additional services, equipment, activities and projects for autistic people. You can find lots of fun ways to get involved on our events page, or simply get in touch to talk about how you or your business would like to support us in your own way. However you decide to take part, your support will make a positive difference.
